Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Finance to lead and scale our finance operations across India. This strategic leadership role will oversee financial planning, compliance, treasury, and transformation initiatives across multiple entities and locations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in India & international accounting standards, ERP implementations, and cost optimization, with a proven track record of building finance functions from the ground up and partnering with global leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Leadership
Lead end-to-end financial operations including FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analytics.
Partner with CXOs and global stakeholders to drive financial strategy, cost control, and business growth.
Present monthly financials, cost performance, and risk insights to senior leadership and board.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure full statutory compliance across GST, TDS, PF, PT, SEZ, STPI, FEMA, and Income Tax.
Oversee internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory reporting under India GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
Drive audit closures with zero qualifications and maintain robust governance frameworks.
Transformation & Automation
Spearhead ERP implementations (e.g., SAP, Workday, Sage, PeopleSoft) and finance system upgrades.
Lead process automation across payroll, billing, reimbursements, and intercompany accounting.
Optimize treasury operations including cash flow forecasting, FX hedging, and fund repatriation.
Team & Operational Leadership
Build and mentor high-performing finance teams across AP, AR, payroll, compliance, and reporting.
Set up and scale finance functions for new entities or GCCs, ensuring seamless integration and compliance.
Drive cost optimization initiatives including CAPEX negotiations, space utilization, and vendor governance.
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent finance qualification (CPA, CMA, ICWA).
15–25 years of progressive finance leadership experience in IT/ITES, GCCs, or multinational environments.
Proven success in ERP implementation, audit management, and multi-entity finance operations.
Strong command of statutory compliance, treasury, and cross-border finance.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team-building skills.

Experience in setting up finance functions from scratch.
Exposure to global finance operations (US, UK, EU) and post-acquisition integration.
