PROGRAM MANAGER

Role Overview
The Program Manager will oversee and coordinate cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams. This role is critical in ensuring the scalability, performance, and resilience of core systems that power the company’s products and internal services.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical program management expertise with an understanding of data infrastructure, reliability engineering practices, and platform operations. You’ll partner closely with engineering leads, product owners, and infrastructure stakeholders to deliver strategic programs that improve service reliability, optimize performance, and ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Project Delivery
• Lead and manage multiple large-scale projects across database, platform, and reliability domains.
• Drive cross-team planning sessions to define roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics.
• Translate high-level goals into actionable plans that balance technical depth with business impact.
• Ensure alignment of reliability and scalability objectives with product development priorities.
Execution & Coordination
• Manage interdependencies between Database Engineering, Platform Reliability, and Product Reliability teams.
• Track progress, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of complex initiatives.
• Implement program management best practices across teams (e.g., quarterly planning, OKR tracking, postmortem reviews).
• Serve as a communication bridge between engineering, product management, and operations.
Risk & Reliability Management
• Work with reliability teams to identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks across systems.
• Ensure robust incident management, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvement tracking.
• Oversee programs related to SLO/SLA definition, observability improvements, and capacity planning.
Stakeholder & Communication
• Maintain clear communication of program health, dependencies, and timelines to leadership and stakeholders.
• Facilitate executive updates, operational reviews, and long-term reliability planning sessions.
• Align engineering roadmaps with organizational goals and compliance/regulatory needs.

Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of experience in program management, preferably in infrastructure, platform, or reliability engineering environments.
• Demonstrated success managing cross-functional technical programs with distributed teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), database technologies, and reliability engineering principles (SRE practices).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
• Experience leading programs involving data migrations, reliability automation, or large-scale platform modernization.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Asana, and engineering observability stacks.
• Prior experience working closely with DBA, SRE, or platform teams.
• PMP, PgMP, or Agile certification a plus.
