Job Description
Job Title: TGT Mathematics Teacher
Role Overview:
The TGT Mathematics Teacher is responsible for teaching Mathematics to middle and secondary school students (usually Classes VI–X), ensuring conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and academic progress in line with the school curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Mathematics to students of Classes VI–X as per the prescribed syllabus
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
Explain mathematical concepts clearly using appropriate teaching methods
Prepare worksheets, assignments, and question papers
Assess and evaluate students’ performance through tests and exams
Provide extra support to students who need academic help
Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom
Keep accurate records of attendance, marks, and student progress
Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school activities
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance
Integrate technology and teaching aids where applicable
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics (B.Sc./B.A.)
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – mandatory
Qualified CTET/TET (as per school/government norms)
Skills & Competencies:
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Good communication and classroom management skills
Ability to simplify complex concepts
Student-friendly and motivating teaching approach
Basic computer and smart-classroom skills
Patience, dedication, and professionalism
Experience:
Freshers or experienced candidates may apply
Prior teaching experience in a recognized school is preferred
