Job Summary
The Primary Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching Environmental Studies/Science to students of Classes I–IV as per CBSE guidelines. The role focuses on building curiosity, foundational scientific understanding, and observational skills through engaging, age-appropriate, and experiential learning methods.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Science/EVS to Classes I–IV using activity-based and experiential learning approaches.
Plan and deliver interactive lesson plans aligned with CBSE primary curriculum.
Use storytelling, models, charts, experiments, and real-life examples to explain concepts.
Encourage curiosity, observation, and inquiry among young learners.
Conduct simple hands-on activities and experiments ensuring student safety.
Assess students through worksheets, oral assessments, projects, and continuous evaluation.
Maintain student records, progress reports, and portfolios as per school guidelines.
Integrate ICT tools, audio-visual aids, and smart class resources in teaching.
Provide individual attention to support diverse learning needs.
Foster positive classroom behavior, discipline, and a safe learning environment.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic progress and development.
Participate in academic planning, teacher training programs, and school activities.
Support co-curricular activities, science days, exhibitions, and school events.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in Science or relevant discipline.
D.El.Ed / B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).
Experience:
Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience at Primary level (CBSE preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
Sound understanding of primary Science/EVS concepts.
Excellent communication and child-handling skills.
Creative, patient, and nurturing teaching approach.
Ability to design engaging activities and worksheets.
Basic proficiency in using smart boards and digital tools.
Desirable Attributes
Experience in teaching primary Science using activity-based or play-way methods.
Familiarity with NEP 2020 and foundational literacy & numeracy (FLN) framework.
Passion for working with young children and early education.
