Job Summary

The PGT Physics will be responsible for teaching Physics to Senior Secondary students (Classes XI–XII) in accordance with CBSE curriculum guidelines. The role requires strong conceptual clarity, practical laboratory expertise, effective pedagogy, and active participation in academic planning and school initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Physics to Classes XI and XII as per CBSE syllabus and examination patterns.

Plan and deliver well-structured, concept-oriented lesson plans using learner-centric and inquiry-based teaching methods.

Conduct Physics practicals and laboratory experiments while ensuring safety and proper use of equipment.

Prepare students for internal assessments, board examinations, practical exams, and competitive examinations (JEE/NEET foundation where applicable).

Develop and evaluate assignments, projects, tests, and examinations in line with CBSE assessment guidelines.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and academic progress.

Integrate ICT tools, simulations, smart boards, and digital resources to enhance Physics teaching.

Provide academic mentoring, doubt-clearing sessions, remedial classes, and enrichment support.

Participate in curriculum planning, academic meetings, workshops, and professional development programs.

Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and academic concerns.

Uphold school discipline, ethical standards, and CBSE academic policies.

Contribute to co-curricular activities, science exhibitions, Olympiads, and school events.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics (or relevant specialization).

B.Ed. from a recognized university (mandatory).

Experience:

Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at Senior Secondary level (CBSE preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

Strong command over Physics concepts and numerical problem-solving.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Proficiency in conducting Physics practicals and handling laboratory equipment.

Ability to integrate technology and simulations in teaching.

Student-centered, disciplined, and professional approach.

Desirable Attributes

Experience in CBSE board examination evaluation or question paper setting.

Familiarity with NEP 2020, competency-based education, and experiential learning.

Proven track record of student success in board exams, Olympiads, or competitive examinations.
